For speakers

You know your subject. We do everything around it.

We are always looking for experts who can hold a room online: no travel, no sales, no admin. You deliver sixty minutes and we handle the rest.

Over 3,000 sessions delivered to more than 200,000 participants, rated 4.6 out of 5.

Every one of them started with an audition
In demand right now

The subjects our clients keep asking for.

What you get

No pitching, no invoicing, no travel.

Over three hundred global clients

From the largest technology and financial companies in the world to city councils and universities.

We handle everything around it

Marketing, contracts, scheduling and payment. No briefing to write, no tailoring, no client calls beforehand. You deliver the session.

From anywhere with a stable connection

No travel time, no airports. You present from your own room.

Production and moderation while you speak

Someone from our team is on the call throughout: the broadcast, the chat and the questions run through us, not through you.

Your ratings the moment you finish

Participants rate every session and every speaker. Your own results land in your inbox as soon as the session ends.

We introduce you to our clients

Across Europe and the United States, including companies that are hard to reach on your own.

Four steps

From an audition to your first booking.

  1. 1

    Are we a match?

Send a recording of yourself speaking or facilitating. Our team reviews it against the requirements further down this page.

  2. 2

    Onboarding, once

If there is a match we invite you to a call about the practical side: how interaction works online and whatever else you want to know. You only do this once.

  3. 3

    You get booked

A client picks your session. We schedule it, we contract it, we invite the participants.

  4. 4

    You deliver

Sixty minutes from your own room, and your payment follows.

The audition

Two things decide it: performance and substance.

An hour online is not an hour in a room. People can leave without anyone noticing, so the way you hold attention matters as much as what you know. We look at both.

Performance

  • You speak at a pace, energy and tone that hold a room
  • You are fully prepared and know your material, and still sound spontaneous
  • You look into the camera and connect with the people on the other side
  • You bring your own personality rather than a presenter voice

Substance

  • You are the expert on your subject and you own it
  • You bring the right depth for a professional audience
  • You support your story with relevant, current research
  • It applies to people who move an organisation forward
  • It works for several levels of experience at once
What to record

The shape of a Leqture session.

The session itself

  • A session runs sixty minutes: forty-five plus fifteen for questions. You only record the forty-five minute part.
  • You introduce yourself: who you are and why you are the expert here.
  • You share the line-up and what people will walk away with.
  • You open with a question that pulls the audience into your subject.
  • Your slides support the story: keywords rather than paragraphs, and visuals that add something.
  • You build in at least three moments of interaction. We set up the tooling, the chat and Mentimeter.
  • No personal story as the backbone. A short one to open a subject is fine, but it cannot be the main thread.

Your room and your kit

  • A plain background, with nothing behind you that pulls attention away
  • You stand while you present, for the audition and for the session itself
  • Your camera sits at eye level
  • Light from in front of you rather than behind, so your face reads clearly
  • A stable internet connection, ideally over a cable
  • You make sure nothing interrupts: noise, housemates, the doorbell
  • You are dressed the way you would be for a client
How to record

Two ways, both fine by us.

PowerPoint or Keynote

Present to yourself and export the result. Microsoft has a clear walkthrough for recording a slide show with narration. When you are done, choose Export › Export Video.

Zoom

Plenty of speakers prefer to record in Zoom, which is just as good. The five steps below get you a recording where your face leads and the slides follow.

  1. 1

    Set up Zoom

Open Zoom, a free account is fine. Click New Meeting to start a private meeting with yourself, turn your video on, and mute your microphone while you set the rest up.

  2. 2

    Share your slides

Click Share Screen and pick your slides. Then open the View menu in the top right and choose Side-by-side: Speaker. Your camera sits on the right, your slides on the left.

  3. 3

Make your face the main thing

Hover over the border between the slides and your video and drag it to the left until you fill roughly seventy percent of the screen. You are the main event; the slides are support.

  4. 4

    Record

Click More and choose Record on this Computer. Unmute, and speak the way you would to a room.

  5. 5

    Finish

Stop the recording and end the meeting. Zoom converts it to an MP4 on its own and puts it in your Zoom recordings folder.

Whichever route you take, the recording is only ever seen by our review team. It does not go to clients and it goes nowhere else.

Sending it in

Then send it over.

Where to send it

Upload it to WeTransfer and mail the link to production@leqture.com.

Ask first if you are unsure

Not sure whether your subject fits, or whether a recording you already have counts? Ask before you record. It saves you an afternoon.
