Andy is a dedicated and knowledgeable mindfulness trainer with over a decade of experience. Highly skilled at coaching individuals, he also runs workshops and courses for companies such as Deloitte, Lloyds, and Unilever, as well as in schools and prisons. Andy’s journey with meditation began in his late twenties. It helped him become far less tense, anxious, and stressed, and far more calm, content, and fulfilled. His passion lies in sharing these benefits with others, with his sessions consistently leaving participants feeling less stressed and overwhelmed, and more calm, clear, and positive.
He trained to teach mindfulness to adults with Bangor University and became a lead trainer for the Mindfulness in Schools Project. He runs corporate workshops on a range of topics, including productivity, masculinity, anxiety and sleep, and offers 1-2-1 coaching to support people in those areas. During the Covid lockdowns in 2020, Andy also founded a men’s group to explore his own relationship with masculinity and deepen his ability to be open and vulnerable with other men. He believes mindfulness is a lifelong journey and continually works to deepen his practice through courses, coaching, retreats, reading, podcasts, yoga and meditation. Outside of work, he enjoys improv and clowning, and has completed a stand-up comedy course. Andy also dances Forró – a Brazilian partner dance that combines connection, presence and playful movement.

While gender discussions have rightly focused on advancing equality for women, another crisis is unfolding—men’s mental health is in decline. Across key measures of wellbeing, men are struggling.
Men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women. Boys underperform in school, and fewer men earn degrees. They face higher risks of addiction, incarceration, and premature death, whether from workplace accidents, war, or violence. In the UK, men’s life expectancy is four years shorter than women’s. Beyond these statistics, many men feel lost in conversations about masculinity. As discussions around toxic masculinity rise, some struggle to find positive role models, leaving them uncertain about their identity and place in society.
This interactive 60-minute session, led by an experienced coach and men’s group leader, explores:
How cultural expectations around masculinity contribute to mental health struggles, isolation, and a loss of purpose.
The realities of being a man in 2025 and the societal pressures men face.
Practical strategies to improve men’s mental health—both individually and within organisations.
Boost Productivity and Find Your Flow With Mindfulness
In today’s busy workplaces, staying focused can feel next-to impossible. Constant notifications, noisy environments, and the endless chatter of your own mind pull your attention in all directions. The result is stress, frustration, and a struggle to get meaningful work done.
But there is another way. Mindfulness can help you enter a state of ‘flow’—where you’re fully immersed in a task, performing at your best with a sense of ease and clarity. This isn’t just good for your wellbeing; it’s also good for your productivity.
