Train the Trainer
Rod Ben Zeev discusses the nuances of online facilitation, focusing on the importance of psychological safety and understanding diverse communication styles. He emphasizes that creating trust within teams enhances participation and productivity. To build this trust, Rod suggests an activity based on intimate questions from a New York Times article. He also explores facilitation as a training topic, advising on designing effective sessions by defining outcomes and reverse-engineering the process. Drawing on his improv comedy background, Rod introduces the "Divergence and Convergence" exercise to practice active listening and idea generation.
